Simple Tip to Stay Cool
Singapore is known for its sweltering, blistering hot and humid weather, even more so recently with temperatures soring. If you are going out and about capturing photos, the heat can really get to you.
I found that to last longer outdoors, a cool drink really helps. However, if you buy just 2 drinks every photo session, and you do a few photo sessions a week, in one month you would have spent the amount equivalent to a decent second-hand lens. Over 2 months, the price of your drinks would have cost you the price of a second-hand Sony 24-70mm F4 Zeiss Lens.
A small hack that I do to save money for my cameras and lenses is to go into 7-11 or Cheers and buy the $1 deal drinks. They have $1 drinks regularly. It is cheaper than many food courts or coffeeshops. And 7-11 and Cheers are available practically everywhere.
In addition, consider an isotonic or even a sugary drink. Isotonic drinks help with replenishing your salt levels, while the sugary drinks actually provide calories so that you can have more energy to continue shooting photos. Of course, pls consume everything in moderation. Also, these convenience stores usually have very cold aircon, which helps to cool you down.
Hope this helps! Pls let me know if you have any tips to stay cool everywhere under the sun.
